THE ROYAL BANK SYMPATHISES WITH JUNE DISASTER VICTIMS
The Royal Bank (TRB) has made donations to the 37 Military Hospital in support of victims of the last June rain and fire disaster that hit parts of the Greater Accra Region. TRB as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility presented some food items, drinks, beverages and cash to the Hospital. Making the presentation, the Head of Marketing, Research and Corporate Affairs at The Royal Bank, Dr Kwame Baah - Nuakoh, said the Bank is making the presentation to compliment efforts by government and other well-meaning Ghanaians. He intimated, that, the Bank believes, anyone can be a customer, so providing support to our “customers” and Ghanaians as a whole, is in our view – our widows might. Dr. Baah - Nuakoh indicated that, the Bank trusts that through the administration of the 37 Military Hospital, those who actually suffered will get the required support.
Receiving the items, the Senior Administration Officer in charge of Medical Affairs at the 37 Military Hospital, Lt. Col. Rex Adjagba, expressed the appreciation of the hospital to The Royal Bank, saying that, TRB, has responded positively to the needs of its community at a time of need.
The 2015 Accra floods resulted from heavy continuous rainfall in Accra, for at least two days. About 25 people were reported to have died from the flooding directly, while a petrol station explosion caused by the flooding killed at least 200 more people.
