The Royal Bank donates to Nsutaman Catholic SHS posted: 2015-01-08 17:12:14
The Royal Bank (TRB) has presented a cheque for ten thousand Ghana cedis (GHS10, 000) to the Nsutaman Catholic SHS Scholarship Foundation at a brief but impressive ceremony at the school’s premises. This was in support of the school’s plans to raise money to provide scholarships to brilliant but needy students in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region.
The presentation was done on behalf of TRB by the Head of Strategic Planning, Research and Corporate Affairs, Dr Kwame Baah-Nuakoh. He reiterated the Bank’s aim to make a difference in the Ghanaian financial sector and its plans to support the education of Ghana’s youth. The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Felicia Acheampong received the money on behalf of the school. A member of the Board of Governors of the school, Mr. E. A. Sekyere (former Headmaster of Prempeh College) thanked the Bank and gave an assurance that the funds raised by the school’s scholarship foundation would be utilized efficiently to the benefit of the awardees.
Other dignitaries present included the Board Chairman of The Royal Bank, Dr K. K. Sarpong, and Mrs. Akua Tachie-Menson, Manager, Private Banking-Kumasi, TRB. Others were the District Director of Education for Sekyere Central, Mr. E. K. M Addae, the representative of the Catholic Church on the School’s Board, Fr. Dominic Yamoah, and the representatives of the PTA, Old Students Association, teaching and non-teaching staff on the Board of Governors.
