  • Mr. Osei Asafo-Adjei

    Mr. Osei Asafo-Adjei – Managing Director /C.E.O

    Mr. Osei Asafo-Adjei was until 30th June 2016, Executive Director, Corporate Banking Division of HFC Bank Ltd. He previously worked in senior management positions with The Trust Bank as General Manager, Business Development, Head Corporate Banking and Head, Corporate and Commercial Banking between January 2004 and May 2012. He started his banking career as a Credit Officer with Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) in July 1993. He has attended several course, seminars and Executive Development Programs on Global Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Trade & Investment, and Customer Care Relations in Portugal, South Africa, Turkey, Belgium among others. Mr. Asafo-Adjei holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, a Diploma in Development Studies from University of Cambridge, England and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana.

    Mr. John Ackom – Deputy Managing Director - Wholesale Banking

     Mr. John Ackom prior to his appointment was the General Manager, Wholesale Banking and Investor Relations at UT Bank Ltd.

    Mr. Ackom has over 20 years experience in Banking, Accounting and Finance at leadership level.  For over 10 years, he worked with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the United Kingdom where he held various roles in Financial Management, Budgeting and Planning rising to the positions of Finance Manager and Financial Manager Planning. He was a key member of the corporate rollout during the enterprise change of systems to SAP at the BBC where he held a Business Consultant role advising the institution.

    At UT Bank, he played various roles from Financial Controller rising to General Manager Wholesale Banking with special responsibility for Investor Relations.

    He is a graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has attended a number of executive courses at Wharton and Ashridge Business Schools in the United States and the United Kingdom respectively.

    John brings strong expertise and contacts in the world of fund origination and execution as well as an overall strategic focus on the next phase of the future of The Royal Bank.

    Mr. E. K Aminarh – Senior Vice-President (Head, Credit Administration)

    Mr. Ebenezer Kweku Aminarh was the Head, Credit Division at NDK Financial Services (NDK). Before joining NDK, he had worked at The Ghana Co-operative Bank Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and an MBA in Finance.

    Mr. Thompson Dwumah – Senior Vice-President (Head, Treasury)

    Mr. Thompson Dwumah was until recently the General Manager (Treasury and Investments), at First Capital Plus Savings and Loans Ltd. He had previously worked at Unibank Ghana Limited as Head of Treasury; Africa Export-Import Bank, Cairo as Manager, Treasury and Finance; First Atlantic Merchant Bank Limited in various capacities as Treasurer, Chief Accountant and a Deputy Internal Auditor. Mr. Dwumah also worked at Ernst and Young, Ghana, and Capital Group Ltd. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and holds a post graduate diploma in finance from University of Leicester.

    Mr. David Okyere Nyarkoh – Senior Vice-President (Head, Finance)

    Mr. David Okyere Nyarkoh is the Head, Finance. Prior to his appointment, he was the Financial Controller of Merchant Bank Ghana Limited. He previously worked with the Volta River Authority (VRA) and KPMG. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr. Nyarkoh holds an Executive MBA in Finance and has over 20 years of progressive working experience in Administration, Audit, Treasury, Taxation and Financial Management and Control. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

    Mr. Ben Danquah – Senior Vice-President (Head, Legal & Company Secretary)

    Mr. Ben Danquah is a Senior Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Prior to his appointment was the Head (Legal and Company Secretary) and Acting Head (Human Resources Management) at Sahel - Sahara Bank (BSIC) Ghana Ltd. Before joining BSIC, he had worked at The Trust Bank Ltd; Ghana Standards Board, and Onimpa Akuoko & Co, Legal Practitioners. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and a Professional Certificate in Law.

    Mr. Kwame Annoh – Senior Vice-President (Acting Head, SME Banking)

    Kwame has over twenty-five (25) years Banking experience. He started his banking career with Merchant Bank GH Limited and over the years, has worked with other banks including United Bank For Africa (UBA) GH Limited and Fidelity Bank GH Ltd. He is presently the Senior Vice-President overseeing Corporate Banking and Advisory Services at The Royal Bank GH Limited and also one of the key senior members that setup The Royal Bank. As part of his passion of sharing knowledge, he is a resource person at the Chattered Institute of Bankers Ghana (CIB), a role he has played for over five (5) years. He holds MBA (Finance) from the University of Leicester, UK.

    Mr. Henry Nii Yartey Annan – Senior Vice - President (Head, Audit and Inspection)

    Mr. Henry Nii Yartey Annan was Chief Manager, Internal Control at First Atlantic Merchant Bank Limited where he earlier held positions of Senior Manager, Corporate Banking, Treasurer, Chief Accountant and Manager Corporate Banking. He had previously worked at Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited, Pax Travel Limited, London and United Friendly Insurance among others. Mr. Henry Nii Yartey Annan is a qualified Accountant and a fellow of ACCA and ICA (Ghana) and has 13 (Thirteen) years banking experience.

    Mr. Nuku Kwaku Attipoe – Senior Vice-President (Head, Risk Management & Compliance)

    Nuku Kwaku Attipoe has had over 10 years career experience in Risk Management. He had previously worked in the erstwhile IBG in various capacities of Risk management including; Head of Risk Management, Head of Credit Administration, Head of Credit Appraisals, Business Office Manager, Chairman of Enterprise Risk Management Committee. etc. Until his appointment he was Cluster Head of the Tema Region of Access Bank Ghana Limited Nuku Attipoe also worked with Lehman Brothers (UK), He holds an MSC. in International Banking and Finance from University of Greenwich, London and Bsc. (Hon) in Agricultural Economics from University of Ghana, Legon.

  • Hajia Maria Adamu-Zibo

    Hajia Maria Adamu-Zibo – Senior Vice - President (Head, Business Development and Investor Relations)

    Hajia Maria Adamu-Zibo is the Senior Vice - President Business Development and Investor Relations. Prior to her engagement at the Bank, she worked at Cocoa Merchants (Gh.) Ltd for 12 years in various managerial positions, exiting as the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Finance and Administration. She holds an MBA in Finance from GIMPA, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration & Finance from HEC (Montreal, Canada) and a diploma in Accounting. Hajia Maria has recently completed an MSc. in Banking Practice and Management from the IFS University College in the UK. This also qualifies her as a Chartered Fellow of IFS University College.

    Mrs. Mavis Frempong – Acting Head - Marketing, Research & Corporate Affairs

    Mrs. Mavis Frempong is the Acting Head of Marketing, Research & Corporate Affairs of The Royal Bank. Prior to her appointment, she was the Head of Business Promotions and Development at Sahel-Sahara Bank (BSIC GH LTD). Mrs. Mavis Frempong has had previous working experience with Mechanical Lloyd and PHC Motors. Mavis holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana and she holds an MBA in Marketing from the Methodist University College of Ghana.

  • Emmanuel Mac Randolph

    Emmanuel Mac Randolph – Senior Vice-President (Head, Banking Operations)

    Joined The Royal Bank Limited from Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited where he was the Regional Sales and Service Manager, Consumer Banking. Prior to that he had served as the Head of the PostBank Venture, a collaboration between Fidelity Bank and Ghana Post to provide Banking Services at 10 Regional Post office locations around the country, and Head Personal and Business Banking. He had also previously worked at HFC Bank and SG-SSB where he started his Banking career, now spanning into 24 years.

    Mr. Bernard Taylor – Vice President ( Acting Head, Information Technology & Projects)

    Prior to his appointment, Bernard Taylor was the Head of Projects at The Royal Bank. He has over 15 years career experience in Information Technology and as Project Consultant. He has previously worked with RadioShack Installation in New Albany - Ohio, KPMG Advisory Ghana, Sahel - Sahara Bank, Opportunity International Savings and Loans and Socketworks International. He holds a BSc. in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Bernard has extensive background in Systems and Network Engineering, Design, Support and Installation.

    Mr. Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko prior to joining The Royal Bank, was the Head of Consumer Banking Operations, Merchant Bank (Ghana) Ltd. Before joining Merchant Bank, he had worked at Metropolitan and Allied Bank Ltd; Sigma Financial & Management Advisory Services, and Barclays Bank (Ghana) Ltd. Mr. Owusu-Darko's educational and professional qualifications include the following: ACIB (UK); LLM; EMBA; CMC; Dip.FM; ACIA and RODP.
