    Board Chairman


    Prof. Bill Buenar Puplampu is an academic and practicing Psychologist with specialization in Organizational and Occupational Psychology. He has several years of experience in research, teaching, consulting and practice in Organizational Psychology. He has expertise in Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. He started his academic career in UK at the University of Westminster and East London and later joined the University of Ghana and Central University. He has been involved in several consulting projects including Human Capital Solutions for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Ghana and other Government assignments. He is the founding Director of PsyconHR. He has served on the Academic Board, Board of Graduate Studies and Faculty Board of University of Ghana Business School. He also served as Independent Director on the Board of Merchant Bank Ghana Ltd. and the Board of Regents University College and Central University. He currently serves on the Board of Databank Education Investment Fund and Ghana Psychology Council.

    Prof. Puplampu holds a Doctorate Degree in Organizational Behaviour and International Human Resource Management from University of London, MSc. CNAA from Polytechnic of East London in Organisational Psychology and BA (Hons.) in Psychology with Sociology from University of Ghana.

    He belongs to the following professional bodies; British Psychological Society; Academy of Management; Africa Academy of Management; International Association of Applied Psychology and Ghana Psychology Council.

    He has attended various courses and workshops internally and outside the country. He has several papers and articles accredited to him.


    OSEI ASAFO - ADJEI  – Member

    Mr. Osei Asafo-Adjei was until 30th June 2016, Executive Director, Corporate Banking Division of HFC Bank Ltd. He previously worked in senior management positions with The Trust Bank as General Manager, Business Development, Head Corporate Banking and Head, Corporate and Commercial Banking between January 2004 and May 2012. He started his banking career as a Credit Officer with Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) in July 1993. He has attended several course, seminars and Executive Development Programs on Global Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Trade & Investment, and Customer Care Relations in Portugal, South Africa, Turkey, Belgium among others. Mr. Asafo-Adjei holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, a Diploma in Development Studies from University of Cambridge, England and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. 



    Mrs. Emeafa Hardcastle is a Lawyer by profession. Her career spans 21 years with extensive experience in Corporate and Commercial Law practice. She has worked as a private legal practitioner as well as in the Banking Industry. She has also worked as Deputy Head, Economic Section, Economic Trade attaché of the Swiss Embassy. She had a stint with the Hogan and Lovell, UK under International Lawyers for Africa program. She also has a wealth of experience in the Energy Sector. She served on the Board of Petroleum Commission. She also undertakes consultancy services on Corporate Law.

    Mrs. Hardcastle holds a LLM in Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA Hons, Law and Sociology from the University of Ghana Legon. She is a senior member of the Ghana Bar Association. She was awarded the FKA Apaloo prize for Company Law whiles at the Ghana School of Law.



    Mr. Samuel Kwadjo Agyapong Appenteng is an Engineer by profession. He is also a successful Entrepreneur. He has in-depth industry and business leadership experience gained from various capacities as Director, Technical Services and General Manager of Intravenous Infusions Ltd. He is currently the Managing Director of Joisson Gh. Ltd. He has served on the Boards of AGI Consult, Advisory Board, Ghana Universities Press, Ministerial Advisory Committee on Institutional Reforms of Urban Water Sector and Methodist University College.

    Mr. Appenteng holds an MBA Finance and BSc. Chemical Engineering from University of Leicester, UK and also a graduate from KNUST, Kumasi. He is a corporate member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers, a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative West Africa and an affiliate of Aspen Institute of Colorado,USA.


    KWAKU OTEMPONG  – Member

    Mr. Kwaku Otempong is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has several years of work experience from both the private and public sector of the country. He worked with SSB Bank now SG Bank in the following capacities; Manager in Charge of Revenue, Head of Budget and Chief Accountant. He also performed relieving duties as Deputy Managing Director in the absence of the substantive Deputy Managing Director. He also worked as Finance Officer at Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria. Other positions he has held include Auditor Senior/Accountant at Conn. & Co. London, UK and Articled Clerk with Ayew Agyemang Turkson and Co., Accra. He has served as Chairman of SSB Forex Bureau, SG PF Board of Trustees and as Director on the Board of Asubonten Rural Bank and Consumer Credit Ltd. He also served as a member of ACCA Committee, Ghana Branch, Honorary Auditor, Charismatic Baptist Church and is a Director of Reko Catering Services.

    Mr. Otempong is a product of London School of Accountancy and Henley Management College UK now Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration, an Associate member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (Accra) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).


    EYRAM KWAME ATSU  – Member

    Mr. Eyram Kwame Atsu is a Banking and Business Development Consultant by profession and has Thirty-four (34) years of working experience in Banking from Standard Chartered Bank in Corporate Banking and Credit. His roles spanned from Credit Analyst, Relationship Manager, and Regional Corporate Manager in charge of Northern Ghana. He was responsible for Corporate Banking and Credit training for West and Central Africa and also in charge of graduate development for Africa. He headed the Corporate Banking Directorate in Ghana and also in Sierra Leone. He also held roles in Retail Banking including Branch Operations Manager. Mr. Atsu also serves as a consultant and his interests are in Banking and Business Capacity Development. He has consulted for Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Data Bank, Universal Merchant Bank and Heritage Bank. He is also an adjunct lecturer in Project Management at Accra Institute of Technology. He also consults for Timber companies. He has expertise in Structuring Corporate Banking Business.

    Mr. Atsu holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainability and Environmental Management Systems, Ghana University Technology, Ghana; Master of Science in Business Engineering and Management Systems, Coventry University; Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, University of Leicester and Post Graduate Certificate in Management, Nottingham University. He has professional certification in Banking from National Banking College, Manchester Business School, UK and Chartered Institute of Bankers. He has also attended Corporate Banking workshops and short courses in the UK and Hong Kong.



    Alhaji Abdul Fataa Adamu is the Director of Administration at Global Haulage Company Limited. He has also worked as the Managing Director of 1st Level Company Limited.

    Alhaji Abdul Fataa is currently Board member of Cocoa Merchant Company, Imperial Assurance Company Limited and Global Haulage Group. He is a Shareholder of the Bank by virtue of the familial ownership of the Bank.

    Alhaji Abdul Fataa is a dynamic and result-driven administrative executive with extensive experience in Organisational leadership, Project Management, Personnel Supervision and Office Management.

    Alhaji Abdul Fataa holds Bachelor of Science in Economics.



    Alhaji Abdul Mumuni Adamu is the Director of Procurement at Global Haulage Group Limited. He has worked as the Marketing & Workshop Director and Port Supervisor for Global Haulage Limited.

    Alhaji Abdul Mumuni is currently Board member of Cocoa Merchant Company, Transroyal Ghana Limited Global Haulage Group and member of Board of Trustees of Alhaji Dr. Adamu Iddrisu Foundation (The Royal Bank Foundation). He is a Shareholder of the Bank by virtue of the familial ownership of the Bank.

    Alhaji Abdul Mumuni has good negotiation skills, excellent in supplier-vendor management and has good working knowledge in computer and enterprise resource planning packages such as SAP.

    Alhaji Abdul Mumuni holds Postgraduate Certificate in Procurement from Ghana Technology University College (GTUC), Diploma in Business Studies from University of Hertfordshire, UK and Certificate in Business Management & Organisational Behavior from Bellerbys College, UK. Alhaji Abdul Mumuni also holds advanced Level French proficiency Certificate.



    Mr. Bartholomew Kwame Ahadzi is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has over 25 years of working experience. He started his career with Shell Ghana as an Auditor and later joined Coopers and Lybrand as Audit Senior/Consulting Supervisor. He also worked at Ecobank Ghana as Head, Audit Control, The Trust Bank, Ghana as Chief Accountant responsible for Treasury Operations, Financial Controller, Allied Bank Uganda, General Manager Financial Services, Coop Bank, Uganda and HFC Bank, Ghana as Head, Internal Controls. Mr. Ahadzi was also Managing Director for Bank of Africa Kenya and Uganda.

    Mr. Ahadzi is a consultant and has worked on many projects including preparing GHL operationally as it sought to obtain commercial banking license; appointed by Chase Bank Kenya Ltd to assist in extending banking services of Chase Bank Kenya to other East African countries of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan; Spearheaded the development of a 3-year strategy and set up implementation structures of NMB Bank Ltd, Zimbabwe. He was part of SCG Associates, a consulting firm in Ghana.

    Mr. Ahadzi holds an MBA and BSC Admin, Accounting Options from University of Ghana and a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants.

    He has attended several international and local learning and capacity development programs in Bank financial and risk management, Advanced Credit, Assets and Liability Management, Human resource management and Leadership and Corporate Governance.



    Alhaji Abdul Aziz Adamu Iddrisu is the Managing Director of Global Haulage Limited, one of the biggest Haulage Companies in Ghana. This position he has held since October 2007. Prior to this current position worked as Corporate Director, Operations Director and Transport Manager with Global Haulage from 1992 to 2007. Alhaji Adamu Iddrisu holds BSc. Administration (Banking and Finance) from the University of Ghana Legon and the University of Central England – West Midlands and a Niveau Baccalaureat from the College de L’Union – Cotonou (Benin).



    Adamou Abdoul Zakou is the Managing Director of the Federated Commodities Ltd, the Third Largest Licensed Cocoa Buying Company in Ghana, prior to serving as Deputy Managing Director – Operations [August 2009 – October 2011].

    He has worked with Global Haulage as Director of Procurement from [October 2006 – July 2009] and Project Manager for Global Haulage Co Ltd having actively worked in the number of roles. An Associate Member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers, Mr. Adamou was part of a team of Civil Engineers responsible for Cross Checking detailed reinforcement drawings to ensure conformity to the code BS8110.

    Mr. Adamou Abdoul Zakou holds an MSC in Concrete Structures and Business Management from Imperial College London - UK, B.Eng, Civil Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In 2002, he was part of the training event organized by Ghana Institute of Engineers on the topic Accounting Finance for Project manager and Non-Financial Executives and Contract Administration and Management respectively.
